I sure miss you, Phil...it still breaks my heart that you are gone. The world is a little bit darker without your bright light of goodness.

I miss Phil so much. What a shining light, a kind and caring person, and like his name says, a loving man. My heart is broken.

On behalf of myself and others who knew Phil when he served as an intern at Refugee and Immigration Services of the Catholic Diocese, please accept our condolences on his tragic passing. Though his time with us was brief, Phil made a difference to the lives of those who came to our communication fleeing persecution elsewhere, and it was a joy to have him with us. It's clear he had a strong and caring heart and will deeply missed.

Phil was such a bright and happy light. He brought joy with him wherever he went. This world is a little bit greyer, a little bit sadder without him.
