Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy for Juliane and family. Phil, I always called him Phil, and I spent much time together when we were at Edgewood grade school. He lived only a few bolcks away. We had a great time together climbing a tree in front of the school or playing a card game called setback with his grandmother and sister Denise. I remember his interst in the Terhune's books about collie dogs, collecting stamps and the drawings of all the different faces that he made. We often listened to the old...

Phil Lynch was a complex, smart and thoughtful person who was a friend of mine. He was an a passonate internationalist, entrepreneur and American. He left a rich legacy of memories to those who knew him and an unforgettable character. A great loss for Cleveland.

To the whole Lynch family: Hap and I offer our condolences on your loss. Mary, Hap and I were so pleased to meet Phillip at Jen's wedding in Sardegna. I fondly think of Julianne and Philip up on the hill, looking at their beloved daughter marrying her soulmate, Daniel. The sea and the rocks was a beautiful backdrop, but seeing all the love expressed was the most touching. God Bless, Hap and Marci

I never met Philip Lynch face-to-face, but for 15 years he and I have become close personal friends through correspondence and our many telephone conversations-- often while he was at the airport in some distand city. Phil had a love of history and languages, and as a dealer in antiquarian books, ancient coins, historical documents and artifacts, it was always a pleasure for me to discuss these topics, and many others, with him. He was perhaps the single most erudite individual I have known...

I'd like to express to Phil Lynch's family my sympathy on his passing.
He was a friend and occasional host at some of the most interesting events of my 40-+ year career as International Trade Specialist at the US Dept. of Commerce. Most recently, we (my daughter Margaret and I) met one fine evening at Severance Hall, and subsequently accepted his invitation to join him at lunch at NTI in Beachwood. That meeting, with our wide-ranging conversation, was a treat, and leaves a lasting...

Please accept my heartfelt
condolences for the loss of
your husband and father.

My thoughts are with you
at this time of sorrow.

Dear Juliane and other Family Members,

My wife Penny and I will always remember Phil whose love for his family and his intellectual brilliance and his generosity were extraordinary.

Phil was my classmate at Scarsdale High School where we attended a reunion last year with Juliane.

He was also my classmate at Yale where we saw him with Juliane at our 50th reunion in 2007 at which time he told Penny he had several strokes and was suffering with Cancer, but Phil was as...
