In 2005 when we attended the family reunion near Omaha, Nebraska, Uncle David and Uncle Philip took us to the Omaha Zoo. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed being with them. The two of them were very happy to show us their favorite spots. It was nice to have family time in a small group. I'm also glad that Sarah had a chance to get to know both great uncles a little better. This will always be a special memory for me. May you rest in peace, Uncle Philip.

Officially Phil was my father-in-law. But in actuality he was more a Dad to me then my own father ever was. He will be greatly missed but his spirit will live on in all of us. What he taught us made us all better people.
