Read MorePhilip was sweet and gentle, and appreciated the smallest act of kindness. Because of our last names , we shared seats and classes, from kindergarten at Redfield School through South Junior High and Pittsfield High School. I last saw him at our 25th PHS reunion; he recognized me immediately and we talked for some time. He never harmed anyone with words or deeds.

I grew up near South MT. Us kids use to hike the mountain all the time. Phil was always there in our younger days. He was very kind and had a good heart. He was a part of my memories growing up
