Philip J. McDowell

I was sorry to read about Phil's passing. Phil was a big part of my early years. Phil & Earnie, Chet Landis, my brother Dick and I were the core of a larger Elmwood group of kids. From P.J. Smyser we learned how to make gun powder. We built a tree house at the corner of Belmont and 4th Ave. We explored wide areas on bicycles. Mary Lou and Family,
I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Phil. I will always have fond memories of Phil at our family reunions and other family functions we had over the years. When I joined the Navy, I always looked forward to talking Phil, sharing sea stories togather, most likly seeing who could top eachothers story. Again, Phil will be sadly missed.
