Wow, my prayers to the family, I will always remember Philip as a super hero athlete, able to master any sport, and a infectious smile, ear to ear! Very sad to hear.

Very sad to hear of losing our friend Phil. So many great times growing up together in Briarcliff, so many indelible memories of Phil and his wonderful family. Phil was filled with life, and always fun to be around. He had a charismatic smile, contagious laugh and those dancing blue eyes that always saw both the humor and irony in everything. He will be remembered and missed by everyone who came to know him.
My thoughts and prayers go out the entire family.

My heart and prayers go out to Sylvia and the family. Phillip was very good to me and adored my son. He was always there to talk to no matter what. I will miss him dearly.

I can hardly believe I am writing about Phillip this morning. We spoke a few times a year always talking about the good old days starting back in third grade when I moved to Briarcliff. The youngest of 5 boys, Phillip was an outstanding 3 sport athlete whose smile and as Tom put it"cackle" could charm anyone. He had a big heart and a kind soul and I am so sorry to hear such sad news. My prayers to his lovely mother Sylvia and family.I will miss his phone calls for sure.

Philip and I were best friends when we were little kids in Briarcliff, New York, basically inseparable. I spent countless hours at the McFadden house, and Philip and I played sports all the time, in a thousand pickup games and later as high school baseball and basketball teammates. Philip was a superb athlete, an MVP in both of those sports. Beyond that, a very nice guy with that trademark McFadden grin and cackle. Thanks for introducing me to Bob Dylan, Philip, and may you rest in...
