Philip Joseph McKeough, 79, of Paradise, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015, in Sacramento. Philip was a resident of Paradise for the last 36 years, having moved here from Norco, California. He was born on March 29, 1936, in Hastings, Michigan, to Reginald and Anna McKeough.

Philip was a flooring contractor for 35 years before retiring. He was also a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Philip married the love of his life, Cathy Rae Gilbert, on June 2, 1972, in Garden Grove, California, and they just celebrated their 43rd anniversary two weeks ago.
He enjoyed the outdoors, snow skiing, hockey, and an "occasional" trip to the casino.

Philip is survived by his loving wife Cathy, of Paradise, son Joe ( Bethany ) McKeough, of West Sacramento, daughter Shaundra ( Ron ) Cook, of Paradise, and Robin (Travis ) Crockett, also of Paradise. He also leaves one brother, Patrick McKeough, of Highland, Michigan, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be in our hearts always, and we miss him greatly.

A Funeral Mass is planned for this Friday, June 19, 2015, at 10:00 A.M., at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paradise, with a Military Honor Guard presentation following the Mass. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery the same afternoon.

Not sure what to say?

God bless my uncle Phil.
I am so grateful I got to know him and his family.
I will always miss him very much.

We have good memories of time spent together at many ball games. Our condolences to Cathy and the kids. May God's grace and mercy give you peace at this time of sorrow. Danny & Jerri Egleson

I love and miss you already. Thank you for being such a loving and positive person in my life. I know you are watching over us all until we meet again. Xoxo

To the Family of Phil...
I always enjoyed Phil's stories. He would come in and see me at Dick's Floor Covering years back. He would share humorous and delightful stories of his youth. He was a good friend and a great guy as you are well aware. He will be missed.

My condolences to the family, may God bring you comfort and fill your hearts and minds with peace as you endure your lost . Phillippians 4:7
