Not sure what to say?

We are so sad to hear Phil is no longer with us. He was an exceptional person. Our prayers are with you and your family. We cannot imagine what your family is going through. We hope you know we are thinking and praying for all of you.

Piera and family,

You all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming months and years. Phil was such a terrific person and had a heart of gold. I am proud to have been able to call him my friend (and fraternity big brother). He will be sorely missed by all. I only wish I would have taken Phil up on his invitation to come to Gonzales the last time we spoke. His death is a painful reminder to me that we must live each day like it is our last, as there is no promise of...

Phil's legacy will be the differences that he made in so many lives. He is gone but will never be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. May God and his angels surround your family and comfort you during this time of loss.

To the McLain family.
You are in my prayers. Phil (or Matman as he was know to me) was a special person. Heaven has received a wonderful soul. Our lose is heaven's gain.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I know he was loved and will be missed.

Kathi, Darrell
Our hearts are heavy and you are in our payers daily. I can not imagine a finer young man than Phil. I always could see he truly loved his family. He loved and adored Pierra and the children and respected his siblings and you Kathi and Darrell were a special kind of parents to have this kind of love for each other. WHne the time comes Kathi please call me and we can walk or just sit and talk. I admire you for your strength and above all you faith in the Lord. That above...

God Bless all of the McLain Family. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. I know Phil will be missed by all of you so very much.
Sincerely,

For us to lose a friend like Phil makes me believe that Heaven quickly needed an angel, as he was far too great of a man to grow old on this earth.

My thoughts and prayers are with Phil's family, that somehow they will feel God's comfort and peace now and always...
