Mr. Philip "Scooter Man" Eugene McLean, 45, of Hickory passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Philip was born June 29, 1970 in Catawba County to Patrick "Doc" McLean and the late Sue Spencer McLean. He was the proud owner of Import Power Store. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by two sisters; Cindy Canipe and Kathy Greer. Survivors include his father Patrick McLean; his newlywed wife Desiree McLean and their unborn child; one son, Philip E. McLean Jr; one daughter Michala McLean; two sisters Mitzi Beaver and Patricia Tyger; one brother Tim McLean; and numerous nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese with Pastor Scott Philyaw officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Service. Interment will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, NC An online guestbook and obituary is available at www.heritagefuneralservices.com. Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory of Valdese is serving the McLean family.
