Not sure what to say?

Even though it has been fifteen years, I remember Father Phil often and am so grateful for all he did for me. He encouraged my choral work, which I still love. He advised me to become a Benedictine Oblate at the Abbey of St Walburga, which has changed my life and he was a wonderful pastor at St Joseph's Church in Fort Collins for years. My oblate group meets in Meredith Hall there. Thank you, Father Phil for all you have done for so many! Ginger Martin

Our most cherished memories of our life in Colorado were the times and events surrounding St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Collins. Fr. Phil offered wonderful leadership and spiritual guidance that helped strengthen our undertanding of the Church and faithfulness to God. We miss him dearly. He was truly a great priest.

Fr. Phil and I went back to his days as Deacon Phil at Notre Dame Parish. He had a quick smile, a clever wit and a great heart for God. He loved the mountains and did some of his best work while stationed there. May God richly reward you Fr. Phil and give comfort to your family.

Father Phil was a caring and thoughtful person with a sense of humor that was both funny and sharp. The world was a better place because he always showed that he was not afraid to love the Lord outloud. The Lord now has a great man and we have great memories of Father that can never dim and we will always have a reason to smile when we think of him.

Fr. Phil - you were always a good boss to work for. Thanks for your priestly example and care.

Father Phil has been a great blessing to me. I became a choral director because of his encouragement in the late 1980s when he asked me to organize St. Joseph's choir in Fort Collins. His wonderful humor, joy of living and great faith has been an inspiration for so many, and he will be missed.

We will always remember Fr. Phil's smile and sense of humor. He was a great influence for our children.

Though we only knew Fr. Phil a short time as our pastor at St Mary's, he will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and our prayers are with you all as you grieve for such a wonderful person who has gone home to the loving arms of our Lord.

Fr. Phil was truly a great witness to the love God has for his people. He loved and cared for so many from his heart. We at the Abbey of St. Walburga were blessed to have him as our confessor and will miss him very much. But we rejoice as well that he is now with the Lord whom he has served so faithfully and with joy!

With prayers for his whole family,
The Abbey of St. Walburga
