As a member of the Cape Fear Men's Club in 2012 Phil was great to be with, he would arrange a tour and dinner at the Battleship NC which I'll never forget. My condolences to his family.

Just reading Phil's obituary confirms a life well lived. It is always too short but Phil accomplished so much. I hope the memory of all the good he did will soften the loss a little. Steve Hamilton

Continued to wish my old shipmates a happy Navy Birthday on13 October. 247th. Phil and I were plastic surgery residents together;he was my chief resident and excellent mentor.
