Philip O'Donnell, of Horsham, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Abington Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster. He was 74. Phil was the devoted husband of Kathleen O'Donnell (nee Bonner). Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Ruth M. (nee Magill) O'Donnell. In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by his daughters, Maureen Burke (Dan), Julie Doyle (Jason), and Maris Toporowski (Ron); his grandchildren, Madeline Toporowski, Ryan Toporowski, and Elena Doyle; and his sister, Dorothy O'Donnell. Married for 52 years, Phil and Kath were inseparable, and admired by many around them for their love story. Phil was an outstanding salesman in the steel industry and made many lasting friendships. He was an avid Phillies fan, proud owner of classic corvettes, and a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society. One of Phil's greatest treasures was his grandchildren or his "Grands" as he admiringly referred to them. Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham until his funeral mass at 11:00 AM. His interment will immediately follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Kath, I am so sorry for your loss. Phil was a wonderful guy and I know we will all miss him. I am so glad to have known him, if only for a short time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful family. Love you, Roselynn

Dear Kathy and Family, So very sorry for your loss. My friendship with Phil goes back to high school. Although we lost touch for a time, we were able to re-connect a few years ago. Even with his illness he never lost interest in his friends and what was happening in their lives. Enjoyed our many lunches together. Extenuating circumstances prevented me from attending today's service. He was genuinely a very special person and I will miss him dearly. Sincerely, Mike Varlaro

Kathy, Rich and I are so sorry for your loss. Please accept our sincere condolences. Unfortunately, Rich has a broken foot and we are unable to make the trip to Phil's funeral Mass but you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time,

Kathleen, also wanted to mention that I will be unable to attend since I am in Savannah, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kath, So sorry for your loss. Phil was such a great guy, I'm sorry we didn't spend more time together. When I was battling cancer, he seemed more concerned with my health issues than his. We emailed back and forth on occasion. His suffering is over and you need to take care of yourself.

My deepest sympathy to you all. Mr. O'Donnell was a wonderful man and I know that Maureen adored her dad. His love of life and family was wonderful to see .My heart and prayers are with you all.

God bless Phil. I moved away-but we were always able to keep in touch over 50 years. We will meet again, Prayers are with him, Kathy Jim & Margie Toner
