We were saddened to read in the paper about Phil's passing. I saw him downtown about a year ago and we had a nice conversation as always discussing sports and our families. he was a true gentleman. Our thoughts are with you.

In high school and into manhood, Phil and I were the closest of friends. He was a fierce competitor and loved to play stickball, golf, street hockey, and touch football. He excelled at them all. What good times we had. Phil and I also became huge boxing fans. We never missed going to a big fight together, especially to a Muhammad Ali fight. Phil enriched everybody's lives. Phil made me a better person for having been close to him. He will always be in my heart.

Margie and family,
My memories of Phil are endless and special to say the least. Phil was always such a true friend and added just the right amounts of steadiness, humor and love of friendship that any could ask for. I know that he definately has a fast track through the Pearly Gates where he will be looking down on all of us to guide us in all w do until we meet again.
May God Bless you and your family and may the Peace of the Lord make your lives easier to bear each and every day to...
