Not sure what to say?

Diane, sorry to hear about Phil's passing. It was a pleasure to get to know you both through the WBCCI. You both had kind words for me and support which was greatly appreciated, even to this day. I just re-read an article Phil had written back then and decided to look him up of course. Quite the man for certain, hoping that you and your family are doing well. Lots of great memories I'm sure. Thank you Diane.

Phil and I started the PHD program together at ODU. We also worked together at TNCC. He was one of a kind, gentle, witty, and straightforward. There wasn't much he didn't do for me or the students at TNCC. Surely sad to learn about his passing. Strength and love is extended to his wife and family. You're missed Dr. Pons!

My condolences to the family. My dad was always very fond of Phil. I remember Deedee and send best wishes to them all.

Dianne May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Our heart breaks for you and family with Phil´s passing. He was a great friend and Kayak paddling partner. We solved so many of the world and community problems during our intense conversations and debates. I´ll fondly cherish those memories.
