Not sure what to say?

I don't even know where to begin with all my memories of Uncle Phil. The first thing that always comes to me is that when I was little he was the strongest man I ever knew. When we were young, Uncle Phil would alway choose to play with us girls instead of the adults. Our grandparents had old laundry hanging poles in their backyard and Uncle Phil used to hang on the pole parallel to the ground. It was, and probably still is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I have always missed our family in...

Went to St Andrews High School with Colette Gemple and Holy Family School with the Rapin kids. We have known the Rapin family for many, many years and know them to be good people. Our hearts go out to all Phil's friends and know he has earned his place with God. Please accept our sincere sympathy and know you are all in our prayers. Peace and love, Al & Vivian Brady Saginaw, Michigan

As a classmate of Phil I will always remember Phil as a man of courage and generosity, always willing to give you the shirt off his back. I also knew him as never shying away from hard work. My condolences to the family. Like all good people, he leaves behind a hole that can never be filled.

To Pat, Sara and all of Phil's family. I am truely sadden by the passing of Phil at such an early age. We grew up together and had great times in the neighborhood playing basketball at the Rapin's hoop, football and baseball behind the church on Fairfield or in the street and even sliding down Fairfield st holding onto the back bumper of Earl Rosa's vokeswagon in the winter after he closed his store. Just alot of fun growing up with the Rapins and I feel that Phil was one of my extended...

My condolences to Rapin family on their loss. Take solace That Phillip is is in a better place. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Matt

Dear Patty and Sara,
My prayers are with you. I know the pain you are going through since I've been there too! I will always remember planning the last Rapin family reunion with Phil, Craig, Marcia and Kathy at Kathy's house in Auburn...we did a lot of laughing that night!! Phil always wore a smile and coud always make us laugh. The pain of the lost of a husband and father never really goes away but it does get a little easier as time goes on. One thing to always remember is to never...

Patti and Sarah, What I will remember most about Phil is sitting around our kitchen table planning the next Rapin Family Reunion. Phil truly loved family and was always a great joy to be around. And after we had eaten all day at the Reunion, he always had to grill hotdogs, just in case we might be hungry again. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

When I think of Uncle Phil the image that comes to my mind is him playing catch phrase at a family party. No one thought he could play but he fooled us all, he was the best player! Uncle Phil was the jokster he always seemed to liven the family parties, and always had a great big grin for anyone who crossed his path. i know he is looking down at us all right know and giving us all THUMBS UP!
I will never forget you Uncle Phil. And I will Love you Always! ~Rochelle~

Patti, Sara, Rich, and Cody,
Thinking of his wonderful smile I can only say Phil meant so much to me and I want you to know that I care much more than I could ever find words to tell you.
