Not sure what to say?

I was thinking about Philip Replogle today while writing a book about the assassination of President Kennedy. I remember that Mr. Replogle, my Speech teacher, was fascinated with the Warren Report and all of the conspiracy theories about who killed the 35th President of the United States. Mr. Replogle was an excellent teacher and a great storyteller. He will be greatly missed.

Was thinking about Mr.Replogle today and talking about what a good teacher he was.I googled his name and found that he had passed away 5 years ago. Sad to find that out.I loved all his stories, especially about medieval times. I still say that he was the smartest guy I've ever met.He seemed to know something about everything.

Mr. Replogle began his career at SHS the same year my class began its six year trek through the grades. He was a surprisingly different educator. Closer to our age and understood us and made us think differently.
He introduced us to PBS. I remember impromptu speeches about the submarine base in Perdix.

Funny, dedicated and an educator who was different but times were becoming very different in our country. We were in his class when we heard the news about President...

My deepest condolences to the Replogle family. Mr. Replogle was one of my favorite teachers in High School. I always looked forward to Monday mornings in his English class because I knew we would hear the stories of his weekend of adventure. I will always remember him fondly!

From the classroom to the stage to the SCA Mr. Replogle "Phillip" to those of us who worked with him after school back stage during plays and musicals left an impression and taught us to enjoy what we were doing. We will never forget the lessons and the good times.

I was not the best student, but back in the day I was an artist, of sorts. Mr Replogle would allow me to draw on the desk and my scene would be there for the next day or days... on Fridays I would complete a scene of the football team.

One of my favorites was simply a glimpse of him in front of class teaching... I drew this from the point of view of the student. It turned out great and I know he enjoyed it.

Honestly, I did not learn much about English in his class but he taught...

Intelligent, yes. Eccentric, absolutely! Wonderful and caring with his students, without a doubt! I would see Mr. Replogle at the Home Depot in Mechanicsburg where I worked and we would talk about the old days and you just knew that he enjoyed every minute of it! A Renaissance Man to the end! Bless you Mr. Replogle as the curtain falls on your extraordinary and wonderful life! Thank you for all that you gave!

Mr. Replogle was a young man when he was my teacher. He was an exceptional teacher. I will always remember him well. I'm sure many who came after my class will also.

So sorry to hear this. Mr. Replogle was one of the Best teachers I ever had and a friend to all the students he taught. I know his loss will leave a hole for his family and loved ones, but also know that he touched the hearts of more people than can be imagined. Some of the Best memories I have of my high school career is Drama Club, and that was All due to Mr. Replogle.
