Philip Emil Rossmeisl Jr., a resident for 5 years of Springfield, Massachusetts, formerly of Vernon and Sparta, New Jersey, a waiter for the Smokey Bones Restaurant in Springfield, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Sunday, March 10, 2002. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2002, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at Hafey East Longmeadow Chapels, 120 Shaker Road, East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 9 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, 10 a.m., at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 235 Dwight Road, Springfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are appreciated to Philip E. Rossmeisl Jr. Memorial Scholarship, c/o Sarah (Rossmeisl) Maziarz, 456 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013-3109.
