We both worked with Philip at the FL Dept. of Education (DOE) for several years. Philip was an especially nice man and always a pleasure to be around. He's the kind of guy you always have fond memories of. He made the world a better place and will be missed.

Mr. Rountree was a great person, professionally and personally. I worked for him in the 80's when he drove his VW from Chipley to Tallahassee every Monday morning and returned home on Friday afternoon to his beloved Connie for the weekend. He was a very kind man to everyone he met and I learned so much from him that helped me to be a better person. The Rountree family will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ago.
Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be...
