Awe, Phil and Jackie Ruiter were great friends of my parents John and Sally Schaefer. I have fond memories of them coming by for Bridge and 40 Club with my folks. I baby sat for the girls occasionally and have vague memories of going to their country store at 10 mile and Fruit Ridge. My first major purchase was a tiny red handled pocket knife and I treasured it a long time. Their house was right behind the store. Phil was a very kind man and he and Jackie always had time to acknowledge me....
