Send Flowers Philip M. Shepard Passed away peacefully February 26, 2014 surrounded by those he loved. A school teacher and administrator of 47 years who was held dear in the heart's of his students. Phil worked more recently as a systems change advocate for the Marin Center for Independent Living effecting positive change for those with disabilities across the county. He recently achieved his life-long dream of becoming a published author with his novel Mt. Tam. Phil is survived by his sister Betty, her husband Jerry, his son Chris, daughter Kathleen, Chris' wife Lauren, their children Colton, Mckenna, Adriana and Alex, his four step children Billy, Mary, Sean and Dan and the love of his life Sharon. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 4, 2014 11:00 AM with an hour visitation prior at St. Isabella's Church, 1 Trinity Way, San Rafael, CA.
