Dear Janet...so sorry to learn of Phil's death. Wishing you much grace and peace. I remember those days long ago when you worked at the mission's office and I teased you about all the letters from Phil. :) May the many warm memories be a source of comfort. Uncle Phil was a great example to us all. His love for the Lord, kind heart, and love for his family & friends beamed brightly each time you were around him. He could have you laughing one minute and the next thinking very deeply about any important subject. I have many fond memories of good times spent with Phil. But most especially when watching football! Even though I will miss him, I am grateful he knew our Lord and Saviour and is now at peace with the Lord.

I've learned much by observing Phil's quiet, gentle, kind but firm, humorous, selfless character; but most important was his love for you, Jan, and the four beautiful daughters and families you nourished together. What a legacy! Our lose but heaven's gain. Just makes 'ya wanna go there! My love and prayers are with you all.
