Phil was a great friend of mine during the high school years and always was a good person to be around. We shared our 18th birthday party together which was such a memorable experience for the both of us. My warmest wishes and condolences to the family. He was a great person and a good friend that will be missed by many.

Phil became a great friend shortly after we met during orientation week at SIU. I have so many memories of good times with Phil and friends. My deepest condolences to Laurel, Lucie, Violet, and Jonathan. I am so sorry for your loss. From the Johnson families in Oregon and the Chicago area, Phil will be dearly missed.
