Not sure what to say?

Philip, like all of us, are created according to God's plan - Psalms 139. Yet, Philip had difficulties most of us never experienced. Did that stop him from loving and serving his Saviour? In no way.....he was a blessing to see. A kind, willing and helpful young man during my years at Millgrove Bible Church (1957 - 1982 + visits after)

What joy for the family to know he made it "safely home".

And what a testimony the family had to God's love and purpose for Philip. As a...

I had the privilege of growing up with Philip Sorge. We lived next door to his family and played together on a regular basis. In the 1950s so little was known about Down's Syndrome, and so it was considered a stigmatism. I will never forget the time when Philip's VBS teachers taught him to quote a Bible verse for the closing program. Up to that point, he was treated as "unteachable." It was kept a secret even from his folks, and when he stood up front and quoted it, everyone was shocked,...

I grew up attending Millgrove Bible Church so have known Phil my whole life. My first thought when I heard about his homegoing, was that he was whole and seeing the Saviour whom he loved. I am blessed for having known Philip. My prayers and sympathy go out to his family.

I worked with Phil @ southeast works many years ago. He was a great guy. My sympathy to the family

I first met Phil in June of 2001 and had the pleasure of working with him for over three years, then working with people who worked with him for another three. He lived for Southeast. One could not have a conversation with him that he would not direct at some point or another to "workshop." He also loved his home, so much that he sometimes would not want to spend a weekend at his mother's house because I think he was a little leery that he might not be able to live with his friends anymore....

To Philip's family, I have had a great pleasure in working with Philip for the past year. Thank you, for the opportunity. To Phil, I will miss your smile and the greeting you give us, when we re-enter a room, or havent worked in a few days. We will miss your funny comments and unconditional love for us. Most of all your "buddies" and "sweethearts"! God Bless you Philip and Your Family. From:(Southeast-WSE Staff)

Philip, you will be greatly missed. I will miss your beautiful smile buddy! You are our super Phil!! You will always be in my thoughts and prayers!

To Phillips brother
My brother Douglas and I extend our condolences to you. We know Phillip is home in Heaven with our Heavenly Lord. Phillip now has a new body! Praise God! And he is seeing your parents as well.
May God comfort you in this time.
Sincerely
Wende P. Moran

Sorge family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Phil was a special person. He lived in the house with my brother Dennis. I always left there with a smile on my face. The four of them had a special bond. They looked out for each other. The house they lived in was a house of love. It was a pleasure to have known him.
