Philip Stetson

To the family of Dr. Phil Stetson, When he first came to Michigan to be the head of clinical pharmacology core lab, I worked with Phil for a couple of years before leaving to work in the pharmaceutical industry. I really loved my time working for him. Despite his incredible intellect and amazing grasp of scientific principles, he was humble and almost "pretended" to be equal with me, which was not true. We used to have these amazing discussions in the lab. He would listen to my point of view...

With sadness, I read of Phil's passing. I knew Phil well at Alpha Chi Sigma. He was the bright, upbeat and easy-to-laugh friend who added immensely to my Cornell experience . In 1968, we briefly formed "a band of brothers." I played guitar and Phil was lead singer. Among human beings I've known, Phil was near the very top. I regret not having contacted him since we were in similar biotech careers. My deepest sympathy to Elena and the wonderful family they raised and inspired.
