Not sure what to say?

I remember Pete fondly and think of him often. We had good times hanging around the yacht club. Dockmaster Dick

I said it all last year. He was a great guy and friend. Pete could tell stories and one had to make sure one did not have to visit the HEAD before he started. It could be a long wait once he got going. I would like to be remembered like Pete. He was a special guy and I am blessed to have known him

So sorry to read of Mr. Tierney's passing.... it's never easy. I speak of him often.... such a nice man. Thankful that I got to meet him.

Pete was a true friend. I knew Pete when he worked at Kodak in Purchasing. That friendship continued at RYC for many years. He always had a good word for everyone and was an excellent sailor.
Pete was also a bit funny. His wife put him on a diet and he could only have 400 calories for lunch. We where working on a year book at RYC and it was time for lunch. Pete was thirsty and said a beer was 400 calories so that was his lunch. He also told me one day when it was raining very hard that...

It was a a tremendous honor for Jake to have a few moments and occasions to talk with Pete. It was clear from the first time we met him that this was a man who lived his life with dignity and love. We will never forget what a thrill it was for the AQ football team to have Pete attend their game and shake his hand. Pete was an inspiration to all..

Mary Jane, and family,

This is the passing of an era, for sure. Your dad was a great guy, and lived a good life. My memories go back to the 1940s and 50s at White City, and then sailing with your dad, and then his care for Dorothy at Chapel Oaks and Saint Anne. I am thinking of you at this time. Jim Chappell, San Francisco

Pete loved local history, especially the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse. He talked to me about the Historical Society over an Mt Gay Rum drink at the Rochester Yacht Club bar one evening, which lead to me becoming a tower guide, Board of Trustee Member and Past President of the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society. Thank you Pete I will miss seeing and talking with you at RYC. - Kirk Simpson
