In the 60s, while I was a college student, I had the pleasure of being the third parts man at Gilbert and Seibel Volkswagen, with Phil and Russ Taylor. It was a busy place but there was always time for humor, and Phil had a great sense of humor. He was also a great support for a kid trying to find his way through school and into the work world. Though I am long ago retired, I treasure those days working alongside such great guys! By the way, the job paid my way through college.

I was so blessed to know Phil Troyer as his next door neighbor! Our Christian brotherhood was a joy to behold as he (and Marge) lived out their godly lives next door on a daily basis. I was always in awe of Phil's many talents, especially when it came to gardening. He sure had a 'green thumb'. ;o) As a Christian, Phil truly did 'walk the talk' in his love for our Savior! I pray God's comfort to Marge and family as they bid their beloved Phil a 'Goodnight earth and good morning Glory'!! >
