Not sure what to say?

I will always treasure Phil's vastly superior playing. I'll never forget our first meeting, I was all of 20 years old, and I came into a lounge where phil was playing, after a break, I shuffled up to the bar and handed Phil a stack of vintage LPs that he had played on, I meekly asked him to sign them. He looked at me incredulously and said "Where in the heck did you get these? shouldnt you be listening to rock n roll?" Our friendship lasted for over15 years. I'll miss you Phil, you were the...

Growing up next door to the Urso family was a unique and blessed experience. As a child, Stephanie and I would sit in basement and listen to her father compose music for hours on end.
Phil's sense of humor, vision of life, and music will be dearly missed! Thank you to the Urso family for being the best neighbors anyone could ever have.
We wish you peace with you loss!
Your are very loved and Phil will be dearly missed!

May you rest in peace, Mr. Urso, after a lifetime of bringing musical joy to many jazz fans such as myself. You will always be remembered as one of...

My sincere condolences on your loss. I am a fan of his music and his legacy will certainly live on.
