Philip was born on October 27, 1946 and passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016. Philip was a resident of Taylor Mill, Kentucky at the time of his passing. He also bravely served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Diane. Visitation will take place on Tuesday September 27 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul: 2655 Crescent Springs Road Covington Kentucky 41017.
I remember our fun cookouts every summer at his house when we were kids, and playing the game of Mr. Ree in the basement. Then when I saw him as a grown man, he was the nicest person. I first met Phil at a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Cecilia Church in Independence, Ky. Because Vaske was a name I was familiar with from my past, I inquired if he was related to the person who owned Vaske's Bowling Alley in Newport. That Vaske was his father.
