Not sure what to say?

Professor Watts was not only an excellent professor--one of the very best with whom I was fortunate enough to study during my time at Columbia--but, and most importantly, a deeply caring, generous and kind-hearted soul. I am truly upset to read of his passing, and I extend my condolences to his friends, family, and students. This world needs more people like Professor Watts, and it is a shame that he had to leave us so soon and so early. You will be dearly missed.

I knew Dr. Watts for 7 years at the University of Pittsburgh. His door was always open, his ear was always ready. A wonderful professor and a good person.

Dr. Watts was an outstanding person and professor. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to travel to France with him during my undergraduate studies at Pitt. He made me realize that teaching French was what I wanted to do, and here I am a decade later, teaching French just as he inspired me to do. He made class interesting and relevant and was such an outstanding person. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
