Philip Joseph "Joe" Young

Joe was a great neighbor to have. Joe introduced himself to us within days after we moved in and made us feel welcomed. When it came time for our house warming party, Joe and his sawsall saved the day. I had gotten tubes of hamburger and had done as a friend suggested, putting them in the freezer to make it easier to slice off patties. What my friend failed to tell me was that I should only put them in the freezer for an hour or two, not a day.

When we relocated to St. Francis several years ago, my husband and I were fortunate to move into the house right next door to Phillip (Joe)Young. Joe made us feel welcome from the start.

Avid gardener that he was, Joe spent quite a bit of time in his back yard. As each winter turned into spring, we saw Joe transition from his preoccupation with model trains to making grandiose plans for his gardens. We will always treasure the times that we spent with Joe, talking and laughing...

Joe was our good friend and we will miss him.
