Phillip A. Anderson, 73, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, after a period of declining health.
Born in Dallas, TX, on January 17, 1951, he was the beloved son of Carroll and Genevieve (Cole) Anderson. Phillip was raised in Gloucester, MA, and had made Manchester his home since 1974.
A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Phillip began his career in the construction industry as a general contractor, where he took pride in building and creating. Later, he found joy and fulfillment working as a tailor at the Clothing Mart, a position he held for many years until his retirement.
Phillip will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, boundless sense of humor, and his ability to connect with people. Despite facing challenges due to his disabilities in later years, he remained a beacon of resilience and an advocate for overcoming life’s obstacles. Phillip loved spending time at the beach, camping in the serene woods of Maine, and cruising the crystal waters of the Caribbean.
An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed hockey, tennis, and woodworking, pursuits that showcased his creativity and competitive spirit. Above all, Phillip was a devoted family man who treasured time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Phillip’s legacy of love, laughter, and determination will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Family members include his beloved wife of fifty years, Priscilla (Bouchard) Anderson; his two sons, Eric Anderson and his wife, Melissa, and Adam Anderson and his wife, Miranda, all of Weare; and his cherished grandchildren, Bryce, Arianna, Keagan, Brenden, Colin, Nathan, and Amy. He also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Isabella. Two brothers, Thomas Anderson of Ohio and Richard Anderson of Hampton, NH; a sister, Linda Anderson, of Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers, JoAnn Fortin, Amy Ciamei, and Melissa Pond, for their friendship and the compassionate care they provided to Phillip.
