As a young child I can remember Phillip on Middletown's Basketball team playing with my brother Billy. He was nice always smiling and was very nice to me as I was just a little tike,he was always dressed sharp and was always singing when I would tag along to play basketball or watch. His smile was infectious.

I was surprised and saddened to hear the news about my old friend. We were backyard neighbors and grew up together, more like family than friends.
