There is so much to say and so few words fit to describe Colonel Blake. I was honored to have served under him in Vietnam. He was my first Combat Commander. He had such a presence most of troopers admired him. To me he was a great leader. He set an example of what a man should be in this world. I have tried to pattern my life after Colonel Phil Blake. I have fallen far short, but to honor his memory I must endeavor to move forward. This is also to pay respect to his wife Reda and family.
