Not sure what to say?

Kathe,
I was saddened to hear of your husband's passing. You and your children have been in my thoughts and I wish you strength and comfort during these sad times. May the loss and grief you now feel soon be replaced with only loving memories of Phil.

I was saddened to hear of Phils passsing. It's always hard when you lose a great friend. We'll all be with you again someday Phil so get your arm wormed up cause we're gonna win that game this time.

Through all the years in school in Red Cloud, Phil was always the leader of the class. It appears that he carried that leadership throughout his life. It was a privilege to be a classmate. We will miss him!
I thought it would be nice to collect memorials to have a scholarship to RC graduates in his honor. Will let you know how this progresses.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

Phil was always one of the finest men I have ever had the privilege to call “friend”. If one could aspire to “be like Phil”, then one could truly accomplish a meaningful life. My deepest sympathies to his family, for Phil will be greatly missed.

Phil was quite simply the cream of our class..scholar, athlete and all-around good guy. It is obvious that he maintained those characteristics throughout his adult life. I so enjoyed the chance to visit at our 40 class reunion. Centers and quarterbacks form a special bond. Phil was truly one of God's gifts to humanity.

Phil's family are in our prayers here in the Red Cloud area. I was a year older than Phil, but remember him well and always thought kindly of him. His life was a blessing to us all, and I know his parents were so proud of him. Our Sympathies.

When special people come into our lives, each of us has a clearer and greater appreciation for how beautiful and wonderful the world is. Phil was one of those special people. He touched the lives of so many, gave so very much and asked for nothing. Rex Amack

Our hearts go out to Phil's family. This is a loss for all of us, but especially you. Phil was a wonderful person and friend and we will miss him!

To family and friends of Phil Bowen,

Even as a little boy, when Phil came into a room, it was like turning on a bright light. He had enough energy for two people and what a sense of humor. I also went to Red Cloud High School (as well as Ann Arbor) and I remember him so well. Despite the passing years, Phil is still etched clearly in my memory because of his distinct character and radiant personality. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and cared for him. Please accept my...
