Not sure what to say?

My love and prayers to Judi and the family. I have fond memories of them. Mary Oden Roberson

Dr. Brenes was my pediatrician at the Vancouver Medical Office from birth - adulthood. I remember him as kind, friendly, and caring. What a path he paved for Pediatrics in Clark County! My condolences to his family.

I had the joy of meeting Phil as a pediatric resident at OHSU and learning so much from him in the CDRC! Our paths crossed time and again over the years and I always appreciated his kind way with colleagues and patients alike. So sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in knowing that his legacy in caring for children lives on in those of us he taught!

A sharp, gracious, and steady man, even in the face of significant illness. Deepest sympathies to the Brenes family.

I'm sure I speak for many KMHD alums that Phil was a fine and knowledgeable jazz host and a good fellow, as well as a peerless interviewer. Knowing Phil enriched my life. Phil, you are missed.

Phil was the lead pediatrician at the Vancouver Medical Office when I started working there in 1990 for Kaiser. He was a great role model and mentor - kind, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and a good listener. R.I.P., my friend.

I loved working with him. Gave me great advice through the years and always a gentleman.

So sorry to hear about your loss. He was great to work with and miss the good old days at Bess Kaiser as well as the clinic. He was always easy to work with and cared for his patients, colleagues and his family. Hope he rests in peace and will be sorely missed. He was great role model for all.
