Well it has been a year now since you've grabbed that Road King above and began that endless ride in perpetual peace. Brother, there isn't a day that goes by that at some point I don't think of you! You are the best friend and brother i could have ever asked for or wanted! One day we will once again join forces and create the fun and humor we so loved too create, we will once again be able to take care of those we care about! I love and miss you brother!

So shocked to hear about his death. He was my Division Officer on the Truman, and flew out on his own dime to Jacksonville to speak at my Retirement Ceremony. He graciously invited me and a friend down to his house while I was on travel to Oklahoma. He will be sorely missed.

I've known Phil for 40+ years. He was a wonderful person and a fine example for any one, military or not, to emulate. God speed, my friend.

I served with Phil in VF102 during our six pack/iron man cruise. He was indeed a good man. Always knew what to say just at the right moment to say it. Even when morale was down, he was able to cheer. Helluva man. Fairwinds and following seas brother, until we meet again.

You were the first to ever calle out, it Intimated me so from that point on I triple checked everything I worked on and came to you with a solution back by all pubs I could find. You are the reason I am the LPO I am today. God bless you family, everyone who knew you will miss you for your hard outer shell and knowledgeable inner self willing to teach, but fun enough to let loose with. Rest in peace WO god bless.

I knew Phil from both the navy and as a volunteer for the rescue squad. You could not ask for a better friend, confidant, and overall great guy. I will forever miss his wit and his counsel. Sir, you stand relieved, those of us who knew you will stand the watch but certainly with a big part missing. Fair Winds and Following Seas! Rest in Peace.
