Phillip A. Dolcetti

Phillip A. Dolcetti a Darien, CT resident since 1925 passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2003 in Darien, CT. He was 89 years of age. Born on September 1, 1913 in Rose, Italy, he was the son of the late Daniel and Rose Covello Dolcetti.

Mr. Dolcetti attended school in Italy and Darien Public Schools followed with vocational schooling. He worked as a foreman at Yale & Town in Stamford, CT and was head custodian at Tokeneke School in Darien, CT. He began his avid interest in gardening on the Nielsen estate in Darien and left us a legacy of talent on the property at 971 Post Road, Darien, CT. He was a principle officer of Dolcetti, Inc. He was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien, CT.

Mr. Dolcetti is survived by his two sons and their wives, Daniel J. and Marilyn Meyer Dolcetti and Phillip P. and Allison Heppner Dolcetti both of Darien, CT. He is survived by his brother and his wife, Victor J. and Lucille Calder Dolcetti of Darien, CT; and a sister-in-law, Jane Greaney Dolcetti also of Darien, CT. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Richard, Darren, Phillip and Rebecca Dolcetti and 2 great grandchildren, Robert and Michael Dolectti. Three nieces and one nephew also survive.

Mr. Dolcetti is predeceased by is his wife Florence Buccieri Dolcetti in 1987 and one brother, Albert F. Dolcetti in 2002.

Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT.
