Not sure what to say?

I didn't hear about this. I'm sure I heard him on HYN since I had a transitor pressed to my ear from 7 years old. Listened to WIZZ occasionally from the time it started and daily for 10 years. He was certainly missedd!

So sorry to see , I am just finding out about this. Phil was my mothers (Elaine Streeter) cousin . I had been in touch with him when she entered a nursing home after my Dad died and Phil went to visit her. We later connected about her condition. Now I know why I did not hear from him again after numerous times of trying get in touch. He was going to put me in touch with one of his brothers about family history. Back in my radio days Phil offered me a job. Sad to see one of the last of the...

Phil was the general manager at WHYN radio where I was hired right out of college in the late 70´s. What a great, fun job. He was a fabulous boss and Michele was the sweetest teacher. Every time I hear the song "We Are Family" I think of them.

Thank you Phil D for all the hours of entertainment.

I will always be thankful to Phil D when he hired me to be an announcer at WHYN-FM in 1973. He was great to work for and great sense of humor. My sincere condolences to the family. R.I.P Phil Terry Welsh

Phil D. was our hero and a hero of the rock and roll era. We always enjoyed listening to his wonderful radio shows from the early ones on WHYN when we were kids, to Wizz Radio when we are now seniors (not in high school). Because of his great "record hops" got to know Phil and Michelle very well. We were his biggest fans...true dedicated groupies. We danced till we couldn't walk.... the bop, the stroll, the cha cha, the twist, and the limbo and always a romantic waltz or two at the end of...

A huge loss to family, friends and radio. I worked with and enjoyed a true connection with Phil. I worked at WHAI with Phil, we both owned stations around the same time frame. I enjoyed hanging out with him at the studio, and worked with Laura too. God bless his kind and loving soul.

Mike, Our condolences on the passing of your father. Everyone's DJ. I remember him picking you up at the studio after drum lessons. It was an eye opener to learn that Phil Dee was your father! We hope that the many memories that you have accumulated over a lifetime help you through your loss. Dave and Diane Choquette
