Emily and family- Jennie & I just got home Monday from a 10-day vacation trip and in catching-up with the newspapers, I found the obituary for Phil. You were good neighbors and friends to us for many years. My mother always talked so highly of you, and I certainly agree. I'm especially sorry that Phil apparently experienced suffering at the end. Emily, I never had the pleasure of meeting Phil but I did have the pleasure of working with you for many years at school.

I have also lost someone very close and understand your circumstances. It's a difficult time but the compassion and caring of friends and family will help ease the stress you feel.

I remember Phil from high school and have known you Emily for so many years working at MVCTC. I have been where you are losing a spouse so you have my deepest sympathy. I know Phil was ill for so long as was Dallas and I also know they are at peace now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family..
