He is preceded in death by grandparents, Leon and Thelma Gambrell; grandfather, Cleveland Drummond; grandparents-in-law, Dennis and Betty Osburn; Ernest Reed; and sister, Rebekah Gambrell. Phillip did a lot of living in his short 36 years, traveling the world through his career in building automation. His travels took him to places such as China, Peru, Mongolia, Mexico, and Morocco. Phillip easily captured the hearts and laughter of all who knew him but especially his nieces, nephews, and godchildren who adored him. Uncle Phil Phil would pick them up from school for an adventure and then return them home with enough sugar in their systems to stay awake for three days. Due to covid, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Not sure what to say?

Praying for you all!! I got to meet Karen and Phillip when I bought their house. He seemed like a very nice person willing to help when he could. Praying for Karen and all of his family!!

Mr. and Mrs. Gambrell my husband Ronald and I Katherine Uptain, knew Philip through our children, Lee and Katie Uptain. They attended Jefferson Christian School together. He had been over to our home many times.
He always brought smiles and laughter to our home. We thought so much of him.
We are so very sorry for your loss and he will be missed. He was such a talented young man.
