Not sure what to say?

He was a special man to my son. He was a great teacher, coach, mentor, and friend. He had made my son handle his grandfather's cancer. He understood because he was going through the same thing. They had time to talk about that classwork, football. Sports ect. I never thought he would go to a funeral and he said he was going in by himself. He talked with Mr Gary coach Gary's father and talked for alot and shared stories with each other about Coach. He came home an even bigger grown up young...

You will always be missed Coach G! If not for you I may have never played football, or learned to find a way to dig deep and persevere through adversity. Thanks!

I believe that my Mother and brother have know him as a young child. He went by the nickname "Binky". I have a photo of him, my brother and myself. My Mother knew his Mom, Yvonne, both married to airmen. My father's name was Theodore C. Bolling. We have talked about that picture and wondered what everyone was doing. So, it is sad to hear about an untimely death of someone you think you may have known.

Phil has been my friend since our high school days in Chino, Ca.. We had stayed in contact for over 40 years. I value his friendship dearly. Until we meet again my friend, Coach Greg Setlich

I consider myself very fortunate to have worked with such a fine, caring individual. He was a model teacher, coach, coworker. My sympathy to his family & all the students who loved him.

Although I only knew Phil briefly as a neighbor, I could see that he was certainly a dedicated teacher and coach, rising early and returning late in the day. A good man taken too soon for those left behind, but now resting in a better place. Please accept my condolences during this time of loss, transition and ultimately celebration of a life well lived.

Most of us know it is hard to bury our children, especially our only child. My heart is with you and your family at this very sad time. I pray that the scriptures will give you comfort and strength. John 11:38-44

Man I still can't believe this, coach Gary you were the best teacher freshmen year at Rhodes high school. You were the most amazing teacher, I actually understood what he was teaching us math. He made sure everyone has a good day, every time I were going to my next class he would saw me and asked "how I was doing and how my daughter is and my parents" he helped us all so much, to make us all success in life. It still feels like a dream, he will be truly missed and loved. Coach I promise that...

Praying for peace and comfort for your family.
