Dearest Phoebe I am sorry I was not aware that Phillip had passed away. My heart and prayers are with you at this time. I was so grateful that he gave Dad a wonderful eulogy, along with you as his backup. We appreciated that Phillip was one of the last Doctors still alive who could recall their early days of practicing together. Our relationship with Phil and Phoebe endured more than 50 years. We held them in very high regard as they were exemplary people and dear friends.

Dr. Godwin and Phoebe were amazing inspirations to two generations of my family in so many thoughtful ways from medicine, Lawrence History, sports support and mental health advocacy. Their memory is cherished.

Dr Godwin was a neighbor, a dad for our neighborhood of Old West Lawrence. My condolences to Greg, Amy and Andy and of course his wonderful wife Phoebe.

Im sorry to hear of Dr Godwin's passing. He was such a great person and I cherish all the time I got to spend with both him and Phoebe. Caring for both of them meant the world to me.
