Phillip Scott Hall

Phillip Hall and his family was my neighbor for a number of years. He was also a very good friend of my brother, Lyle Greene. In the summer of 1973, while serving in the Air Force at Travis Air Force Base, I ran into Phillip at the chew hall. I could not believe it. And yes he had his dirt bike. We would go to the dirt track on the base. My sincere condolence to the family.

Phil was a great guy. I loved seeing him around the neighborhood. He always had something positive to say and a good story to tell. He was great with bikes and always gracious when I came over asking questions. He will be missed.

Phil has been a constant presence in our lives going all the way back to the days of racing at Carlsbad with SVRG. There was seldom a mechanical problem he didn't have a solution for, especially for all things CZ. His generous spirit, wry grin and genuine love of the whole vintage motocross scene was infectious. Our beagles adored him too as "Uncle" Phil often had a treat or two in his pocket to share with them. He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him and share...
