I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

To Chief Hardiman's family, Phil was very instrumental to me in law enforcement when I worked for the Harvey Police Dept. I will never forget his wonderful smile and he led by example. I want to express my deepest sympathy and I am sorry for your loss.

I have known you for many years and have always been reminded of how much Phil loved everyone of you. The world was a better place with Phil in it and he will be missed. His smile and wit put everyone around him in good spirits and whatever was ailing them didnt't seen so bad after all.

I served under Phil while he was the Chief of Police in Harvey; he was definately the stability amongst the chaos there. I owe Phil a great deal, because it was his mentoring and encouragement (when he wasn't teasing me about my choice of necktie) that convinced me to return to college and complete my undergraduate degree and eventually my Masters. Phil also gave me wonderful insight that helped me obtain my appointment as Chief of Police in another suburb, and now...
