Not sure what to say?

To Phil's family I am very sad for your loss. He was a wonderful, genuine and caring man whom I'm privileged to have called both a friend and mentor over the past 15 yrs. Phil was a Giant in the medical device industry, to whom many sought his key insight & perspective. I often came to him on career advice (both started with J&J Ethicon). He loved talking about his family and friends. Tremendous courage facing his ordeal, he offered incredibly heartfelt insight on Life this year that I...

Pat and family, we are very sorry to hear of Phil's recent passing. Although my brother Rick and I were very young when we knew you in NJ, we still remember Phil's larger than life personality like it was yesterday. We feel blessed we saw him in FL last year. We wish you peace and strength during this difficult time. All our best to your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Phil's passing.I remember good times with all the Hoppers in Emporia, Kansas. Caren and family I send my deepest sympathy. Love - Cheryl Pennington

As a professional friend of Phil's in our Band of CEO's in the Bay Area, it was a joy to get to know Phil. A great sense of humor, a welcoming smile, a consummate professional in every regard. I only wish I had the privilege to have know Phil much earlier in my career. God blessed us with his presence. Mel Schatz, Healdsburg, CA.

I am so sorry to hear of Phil's death. He was that rare combination of intellect and wit which continued in spite of his health challenges. Phil endured so much during his last year of life and did so with dignity, courage and grace. He was a valued colleague and a great friend. My sincere sympathy to his family.

Philip will be greatly missed, he was a wonderful person, leader, and medical device executive. He had the best laugh and I will always remember the generosity and support he provided to me as a new start-up CEO/Founder. I am grateful for your mentorship and guidance. Thank you and rest in peace.

Betty and I are thankful that God brought Phil into our lives in 1979 in San Antonio. We cherish every contact and communication with Phil. Our thoughts and prayers go to Patricia, Jarrod and all of his family.

Phil Hopper touched many lives while engaging his passion for both work and play. We had the good fortune to both work together at Johnson & Johnson and most recently reminisce about the joys of baseball.
His journey can be referenced and celebrated...as he set the bar very high for all of us. A "Field of Dreams"...filled with ongoing laughter and memories. Thanks Phil...

Phil and the Hopper family reflected the wonderful people of the Kansas community of Emporia. What a pleasure it was to have shared in many youthful experiences with Phil as both a friend and a co-Demolay. The McPherson family extends our prayers and best wishes to Phil's family.
