Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Phil on MISSE experiments, and I owe him a lot for their success. He will be greatly missed.

His work was very inspirational, and his legacy will live on.

Phil was a tremendous friend and neighbor. He was an active member of the Plaza West Board of Directors until his departure from Plaza West less than one year ago. We are shocked and terribly saddened by the loss of such a smart, funny, helpful and good-natured friend.

I was shocked to hear of Phil's passing. He and I collaborated on very interesting work, and I considered him a good friend. I had lunch with him on site at NRL in early December...cannot believe he is gone. I held Phil in high esteem and will miss him very much. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was so shocked to learn of Phil's passing. I will always remember him as a kind and hard-working member of the Photovoltaic group I supported for 3 years, before moving over to Media Relations.

Mars Pathfinder Operational Readiness Test, 1997

I am so sorry to hear about Phil. We worked together at NASA for years, on projects dealing with both solar cells and Mars exploration, and he was possibly the best collaborators I've ever worked with, completely focussed and very knowledgable. I'd always been hopiong that we'd get a chance to work together again.

Oh my gosh, Amy, I'm so sorry to see this notice. Phil was such a beautiful soul ... this is such a loss for everyone around him. I'm so glad I'd had the chance to know him a little, He'll be sorely missed ... that sense of humor, that laugh! My deepest condolences. Hugs.

Amy, Elizabeth, and Sam -- I am so sorry for the loss of Phil. I remember seeing him on short visits to CSU Publications, years ago, and he was so gutsy to go back to school then while balancing family life. My heart goes out to each of you. If there is any way I can be of support now or in the future, please let me know.
