Phillip Wayne Kennedy of County Road 73 in Midland City died Monday night, Sept. 17, 2007, at his home. He was 78.
Funeral services will be Thursday in the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jerry M. Dooling and the Rev. Gillis Crenshaw Jr. officiating. Burial will follow...

To Mrs. Frances I just wanted to send my deepest condolence to you and the family i sure wish that i could have been there for you, I want you to all know that Mr. Phillip was truly a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed, now that i am all grown up i think back to all the sundays in church when say here you go would like a peppermint this morning and be sure that he never missed giving anyone the oppurtunity to have the offering plate.
