Still a shock

I sit here today looking at additional transmission and oil coolers for the Corvette that I race sanctioned in open road racing. Why? Because when I joined the Lonestar Corvette Club, it was Phil Key who welcomed me with open arms as he did other new members. He selflessly encouraged me into finding one of the many events that the club famously partook. I have only the fondess memories of this man and I reflect on the goodness he imparted to others. When we get together with the Lonestar Corvette Club, Phil is always talked about. What a sterling example of a happy human. Godspeed.

For me, When I joined the Lonestar Corvette Club, Phil "was" the face of LSCC". This is an enormous club. If Phil hadn't been so outgoing and welcoming, I really don't think I would have explored all it had to offer. I don't make friends easily...... he was a TRUE friend...... I think he genuinely enjoyed meeting the new members and imparting helpful information, making our Corvette experience easier. Mom departed this earthly world in April. I'm a neighbor who will miss seeing Phil on his walks and us chatting in the street. My heartfelt sympathy to his family. Prayers for comfort, Gracie
