Not sure what to say?

Shocked and deeply saddened to be seeing this. Mr. Myers, you were such a support system and friend to so many students in middle school. It was a tumultuous time in all of our lives and your classroom was always a safe space filled with fun and acceptance. Thinking back to it, I can't believe how much warmth you poured into your classroom and how above and beyond you constantly went for your students. You were easily our favorite adult on campus and touched so many of our lives. A big man...

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Phil Myers. Phil and I worked together at Bancroft Middle School in San Leandro. Phil was a dynamic, dedicated and popular teacher. I appreciated his commitment and his ability to reach a wide range of students. Phil was also a friend and I enjoyed his dry wit. My deepest condolences to Phil's family and friends.

Myers, you are the absolute best teacher I have ever had. But you were more than just that. You were a friend that listened and genuinely cared about your students. From letting me and everyone sit in your class during lunch, listening to me joke and hate on your precious Warriors, and to even getting us to start a club on campus. Thank you for being such an impact in my high school life and for always showing up when it mattered. You are missed deeply and I will cherish every memory we had...

Mr. Myers, I can´t believe you are gone.. I knew you really cared about us and not just our lives at school. I am grateful to say that you were a part of my life. Thank you for all those time you spent listening to me vent.. I still remember your classroom and all of your rubber duckies. Rest easy Mr. Myers!
