Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Paskiewicz,

I am sorry to hear about your husband's passing. He was one of my teachers at St. Joseph Seminary in the late 1960's and early 70's. One of my best memories of Phil was when he told me one day that I was such a slow writer that I wouldn't survive my first semester of college. After I finished my doctorate and became a teacher myself (at a medical school), I always intended to come back to GR and let him know that his comment was inspiring to me from time to...

Dear Aunt Kay,
Uncle Phil will always have a special place in my heart. Please know you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Sara Kay "Rocki"

Dear Mrs. Paskiewicz:
I was very sorry to hear of your husband's passing and you have my sympathy. I am a former student of his from St. Joseph Seminary, where I have many fond memories of Phil in the classroom and on the baseball field. He truly was a fun person to be around. I will keep Phil as well as his family in my prayers.

Family of Phil,
Our families go back to our childhoods when John and Stell (my folks) played cards with Helen and Phil. We were classmates at St. Adalbert and Janice and I were classmates. Phil and I caught up during our Master's degree programs at WMU. I have fond memories of "the good times"! My deepest sympathy to all upon your loss. May God in his peace and love help to heal your pain.

Mr Paskiewicz was my 8th grade Social Studies teacher. I remember once, some of us tried to call him Phil. He would not allow that. "It's Mr Paskiewicz!" He smiled when we called him Phil though.

He was also my track coach in High School at Comstock Park. He and Coach Hopkins wrote "Don't hit the first hurdle" on my number at regionals. When he handed me the number to pin on my uniform he had that smile. That same smile he had when we called him Phil. That is what I remember....

WE SPENT A LOT OF GOOD TIMES AT GRJC GOING TO FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL GAMES NOT TO MENTION PLAYING CARDS OR MOVING THE CAR SO WE DIDN'T GET A PARKING TICKET. PLAYING CARDS TILL IT WAS TIME TO GO EARLY MASS AT ST. ADELBERT,S (5:30)MAYBE GOING FISHING AFTER.

Dear Kay,
I have many fond memories of visiting with Karin and Rock and you and Phil. Please accept my deepest sympathies and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love,
Barry
